In Friday's Mega Millions drawing, two lucky tickets matched all six numbers - 9, 22, 26, 41, 44, and the Mega Ball 19 - to win $494 million.
Two tickets were sold, one in California and one on Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers, according to the Florida Lottery
A total of $247 million will be split between the winners.
Florida lottery officials said the win felt more meaningful this time.
The lottery department reports this is the third Mega Millions jackpot winner in the state.
Both winners had not claimed their prizes as of Tuesday morning.
There are 180 days after the date of the drawing for jackpot winners in Florida to claim their prize,
but only 60 days for winners of the lump-sum cash payment, which in this case would be $123.95 million.
